Government controlled news

That political elites can become so stupid right in front of the folks they represent shows the tremendous job of obfuscation that is conducted every second, of every day, by our major media news sources. The sheer story telling ability of news outlets like FOX news shows just how gullible the average American citizen has become. It is not so much just the garbage news we are fed by these corporate information behemoth's, but the important information that is either totally left out of their broadcasts, or changed so much that it appears to be its opposite. Without the truth, without the real information, the Real News, we are lost and will not be able to negotiate our way safely towards our goal of democracy for everyone.

Letter to Congresswoman Herrera-Beutler

Representative Herrera-Beutler:

"I believe there is room throughout our federal budget to reduce spending, and no part of our budget should be exempt from reductions."
 When you say 'no part of our budget' you mean Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, aid to veterans, the disabled, etc, you don't mean tax increases for the wealthy though, do you? You don't want to touch all of those ever so special loop holes that the various members of congress have used to get their votes for the last election, do you? Can't go back on promises to mega donors, but the people you represent, the really poor ones, the really sick one, and the really old ones, they can take the hit, oh yeah, and what a hit they are going to take with this sequestration.
You are allowing Wall street, and the corporations, to have an unprecedented 'Golden age' at the expense of the citizens of this nation.
Why do you want to destroy the middle class? Oh, I forgot, it is because the rich, and the corporations, put you into office to do their dirty work!

The wealthy and powerful, along with the corporations, and those who would prefer a capitalist, fascist, government over a democratic one, have used their criminally earned wealth to buy the Supreme courts of all of the states, and the Supreme Court of the United States.  All of these courts are now working together to institute their new rule of law for the wealthy. Their new rules of law only protect the wealthy and powerful from the filthy masses (AKA, We the People), not the other way around.
They have purchased the power of the courts and have succeeded in placing the burden of proof of their criminal activities on the back of a court that has already been captured by their heinous, traitorous, activities. They are hiding in their money lined holes, and are protected from the reach of real democratic law by hiding (again) behind the skirts of those whom they have purchased and put into high office for exactly that purpose. Of, by, and for, the people is the part they do not like, and the part they are determined to remove from our constitution!
  Our elected representatives have created a 'viper's nest' of powerful entities that are out to destroy all democracy's world wide, and their main aim is to reboot the world's economy into a new world economic order where they rule without the masses of people having anything to say about what they do.
  They have become insane with their wealth, and the power it allows them to have over others and over the law, and as so many intelligent folks know, and Lord Acton has written, that that kind, and amount, of power produces insanity and corruption regardless of what the bearer of such wealth and power thinks. But have no doubt that these same insane, wealthy, powerful, folks think they are sane. Just ask them..
  They will tell you how much power they have over you with their police forces, and their military, and they will point those weapons at you and use them on you at the first, and every, chance that they get!

We need a living wage for most workers!

Why all of this attention is being paid to a minimum wage I have not figured out yet. Who wants to work for some totalitarian employer for a minimum wage? We need a living wage, and if the so called minimum wage had been tied to inflation since 1970, that wage would now be over $21.00 an hour. This minimum wage stuff is the downfall of the middle class and the destruction of the already poor and homeless. It is all about making more money for our totalitarian ruling class!

Keystone XL and the American Police State!

If Obama approves the pipeline, it will be built over our dead, or jailed, protesting bodies. All of our police are now basically active military units that go after legal citizen protester's and protest groups in the US just like we were terrorists, criminals, and law breakers, working for the Taliban, or Al Qaeda. Our president's main tactic is to use police and military force to send a powerfully threatening political message to We, the People, that the USA is sure as hell no democratic nation anymore. Democracy now means that you will do as you are told, mind the police, obey the law even if it is wrong, keep your mouths shut, and breath the foul air, and drink the stinking water, or we will put all of you in prison and torture you!. Was Christopher Dorner right?

US/Israeli shenanigans

When a country becomes so powerful that it can create laws that make its illegal past actions legal, then explain how you deal diplomatically with a nation like that? The US and Israel are acting as if they are the arbiter's of everything legal in the world now just because they can nuke, or destroy, any country they want to. Israel is doing to its neighbors almost exactly what the US has done in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and how many other's I don't know. It seems to be beneath the Israeli government to call the people of Palestine/Gaza even human beings, let alone to understand that the humanity of the Palestinian's is no less their own. What Israel is doing in Palestine/Gaza can only be motivated by hatred and fear. They are not rational motivations for a nation with so much weaponry and nuclear power. It reminds me of a madman with an assault rifle. No telling what might happen next, anywhere...anytime!

Gerrymandering!

Gerrymandering is just another tool that the powerful and wealthy, who control our House and Senate, use to get between the American voters and their voted choices. It works just like the Electoral College in that at a crucial time and place it allows the hidden arms of wealth and power another shot at gaining more control, another shot at getting their preferred and purchased crony elected. Politician's use it, when they can, to beat the system we, the people, have set up to keep the criminal element in check during our important elections. The system we set up to protect us from this criminal element has failed. The wealthy and powerful now use our powerful government to protect them from their illegal activities just like the powerful police have co-opted the courts and the Grand Jury system that would try them for their wrong doings. It only works for them now!
